Just realized that I forgot to post this a couple weeks ago....
My background check came back at the end of last week. Yea for only 2 weeks instead of 6.
The petition for adoption is being submitted this week and the hearing could be set for anytime. The lady at the county thinks it will probably be in October. However, since I did OK the option of sliding in to a slot that opens up on a docket, it really could be anytime.
