This morning my son lost another baby tooth. He asked if he should put it in a baggie. I said that he should and then he should put it under his pillow.
He said, “Why? I don’t think there’s really a tooth fairy anyway.” The last tooth he lost came out while he was living somewhere else and the tooth fairy never came. “If there is a tooth fairy, it’s probably you.”
I said, “Well, it may very well be me but whether it is or it isn’t… if you don’t have that tooth under your pillow, the tooth fairy is not going to know to pick it up and leave you money.”
He put the tooth under his pillow immediately. Ah, the power of money.
